French
If you love clean lines: a defined white tip, maximum contrast — the classic for decades.
Nail Salon · Vienna · 1040
The two most timeless nail looks in the world — precisely drawn, softly blended. In the heart of Wieden.
Two classics
French: the iconic white tip over natural rosé — clean, elegant, perfect for the office as well as the wedding. With us the line is drawn precisely by hand, not stamped.
Babyboomer: the modern, softer sister of the French — white and rosé blend into each other in a gentle gradient, entirely without a hard line. It looks more natural and is currently one of the most-booked looks.
Both looks are available as a finish to your manicure, gel treatment or sculpting — for just from €10 extra each.

Look know-how
A French manicure stands or falls with the line: it must follow the natural smile line of your nail, sit evenly on all ten fingers and be drawn razor-sharp. That's why we draw every French tip by hand with the brush — no stickers, no stencil shortcuts.
Proportion matters too: on short nails a slim line looks elegant, on long sculpted nails the tip may be bolder. And anyone who prefers a more modern take chooses a coloured French variant — the technique stays the same, the effect is completely new.
The babyboomer look lives on the transition: rosé and white blend so softly that no border is visible. Technically that's more demanding than French — the gradient is built up in several wafer-thin layers and must be neither patchy nor streaky.
The big everyday advantage: because there's no hard line, the growing-out regrowth is barely noticeable on babyboomer nails. So even if you don't come in for an appointment every three weeks, the look still stays groomed — one of the reasons babyboomer is currently among the most-booked nail looks in Vienna.
French and babyboomer are the safest nail decisions there are: they suit every outfit, every age and every occasion — from the job interview to the wedding. Brides in particular almost always choose one of the two looks, because it stays timeless in photos.
Here at our nail salon in 1040 Vienna you get both looks as a finish to a manicure, gel treatment or sculpting for just from €10 extra each. Combine them on request with a subtle accent — a touch of chrome (from €5) or a single design nail turns the classic into your personal look.
Variations
The classic can be wonderfully reimagined: the micro-French reduces the white tip to a wafer-fine line — minimalist and very elegant on short nails. Coloured French tips replace the white with pastel, red or even chrome. And the reverse French places the accent at the lunula instead of the tip.
All variants are created with us in the same precision handwork as the original — just tell us at booking which twist you'd like.
Absolutely — the soft gradient works on any length. On short natural nails with a gel overlay, babyboomer looks especially refined and discreet: groomed enough for the strictest office, pretty enough for any photo. The gradient is adjusted proportionally so the white doesn't become too dominant.
Our tip for anyone wavering between French and babyboomer: start with babyboomer. It's more forgiving, grows out more invisibly — and if you want to switch at your next refill, the French line is only one appointment away.
Frequently asked
French has a clearly defined white tip with a hard line, babyboomer a soft gradient from rosé to white with no visible border. French looks more graphic, babyboomer more natural.
With us each costs from €10 as a finish — in addition to the base treatment: manicure with gel & shellac from €45 or slim nails sculpting from €70.
As long as your gel treatment: 3–4 weeks. Because the gradient has no hard regrowth line, babyboomer grows out especially inconspicuously — ideal if you don't come in for a refill straight away.
Yes! A slim French line or a delicate babyboomer gradient look beautifully groomed even on short natural nails — we adapt the proportions to your nail shape.
