Your colour

Which technique suits you?

Root colour (from €25): grey or grown-out roots disappear, your colour stays — the maintenance classic every 4–6 weeks.

Full colour (from €40): a new shade from root to tip — rich, even, glossy. With the Olaplex upgrade (from €20), your hair stays protected and supple throughout.

Highlights (from €60) & bleaching (from €70): dimension and brightness — from fine foil highlights to a complete lightening. For hand-painted, soft transitions we recommend our balayage (from €90).

Not sure what you need? Come in for a colour consultation — we'll look at your starting shade, hair condition and the look you want, and tell you honestly what's possible in one session and what needs stages.

Colour know-how

Hair colour that lasts — the craft behind it

Grey coverage that looks natural

The secret to natural grey coverage lies in the choice of shade: simply colouring over the "old" hair colour often produces a too-dark, flat helmet effect. We mix the target shade slightly lighter and warmer than your remembered colour — so the result looks lively and soft, and the regrowing roots stand out less harshly.

For ongoing upkeep, root colour (from €25) every 4–6 weeks is then enough — fast, plannable and considerably cheaper than a full colour every time.

Bleaching: what your hair needs to withstand

Blonde is the most demanding discipline in colour chemistry: the lighter the goal, the more is asked of the hair. That's why, before every bleaching (from €70), we honestly assess the current condition — coloured lengths, previous chemistry, hair thickness. Sometimes the honest answer is: in two stages rather than one.

Always included: Olaplex (from €20). The bond-building system protects the inner hair structure during lightening — the difference between healthy blonde and straw is precisely this one ingredient plus the stylist's skill.

Colour care at home — how to keep your shade fresh

Don't wash your hair for the first 48 hours after colouring — the colour pigments are still setting. After that, the rules are: mild, low-sulphate shampoo, lukewarm rather than hot water and a nourishing treatment once a week (from €5 in the salon). Silver shampoo keeps cool blonde tones neutral; shine sprays and heat protection preserve the vibrancy.

And when the shade looks tired after a few weeks: a glossing or a refresh of the lengths is faster and cheaper than a new full colour — just ask us at your next appointment in our salon in 1040 Vienna.

Techniques

Highlighting techniques compared

Foil highlights: precision with a system

Classic foil highlights (from €60) are the most controlled lightening technique: strand by strand is set precisely, the pattern is repeatable and the result is even from root to tip. Ideal for anyone who wants to look lighter overall — with clear structure rather than chance.

Fine highlights look more natural, bold ones create contrast: that too is part of the colour consultation, just like the question of whether cool or warm blonde suits your skin tone.

Glossing and toning: colour without commitment

Not every change needs full-on chemistry: a toner gently wraps around the hair, freshens the shade and gradually washes out again — perfect for trying things out. A glossing brings tired colours and natural hair to a shine in just a few minutes.

Both also work wonderfully as an intermediate step: first test the shade, then invest in permanent colour. Just ask at your appointment — we'll tell you honestly which level your desired result really needs.

Frequently asked

Colour — FAQ

How much does hair colouring cost in Vienna?

With us: root colour from €25, full colour from €40, highlights from €60, full bleaching from €70. The exact price depends on hair length and density — we'll tell you before the treatment.

What is the difference between highlights and balayage?

Highlights are set evenly with foils — a clear, uniform effect. Balayage is hand-painted — softer, more natural transitions that grow out more discreetly.

Does colouring damage my hair?

With professional application and Olaplex protection, your hair stays healthy and shiny. For heavily stressed hair, we'll advise you honestly on what's possible right now.

How often do I need a root touch-up?

Depending on hair growth and contrast, every 4–6 weeks. With techniques like balayage, the interval extends considerably.

Can I go from dark to blonde in one appointment?

It depends on your starting shade and hair condition — healthy blonde often needs several stages. In the colour consultation we'll tell you honestly what's realistic.
